AllGo

A seat for all of us

As the world continues to evolve at a gut-wrenching pace, it is vital that people of all gender identities, ethnicities, shapes, and sizes do not get left behind. AllGo provides a review platform where plus-size people can view and review public spaces on their comfort and accessibiity so that others can know what to expect.

AllGo asked me to create an intuitive design for their MVP and they took that design and flew to the moon with it. Soon after, they became part of a PIE class, were featured on many popular online publications, news shows, and most notably, featured on the front page of The New York Times as an Editors' Pick. The sky is the limit.

Put This On

An everyday menswear magazine

Put This On is an online publication that focuses on men's style. There are guides, commentary, illustrations, and even scans of classic catalogs from the past. Most importantly, Put This On does this without the pretentiousness that is all too familiar on the web.

I designed and developed the entire site, including migrating 7000+ posts from their previous presence which was created on Tumblr.

Nike Snkrs

Your favorite sneaker shop in your pocket

As an avid late 90's-late 00's sneakerhead having owned a humble 250 pairs, shoes were always more than "just shoes." Shoes create confidence, instill a sense of belonging, and there's nothing like comfy feet. As Eddie Huang likes to say, "Sneakers are like cars for your feet."

While at AKQA, I worked on the Nike SNKRS launch during All-Star Weekend. I worked with writing teams at AKQA and directly with the global design team at Nike to develop prescriptive guidelines on art direction and visual design for the bespoke content threads such as "This Day in Sneakers" and "The Vault" among many others.

OpenSesame

A system that scaled over thousands of courses

OpenSesame is a venture-backed startup based in Portland that provides a marketplace that provides professional training and educational materials online. As the users and uploaded courses continued to increase, OpenSesame was looking to redesign their entire platform so that it was even easier and more intuitive for their users to buy and sell training courses.

I was responsible for the entire redesign including leading the visual design, user experience and mobile implementation but also the design for internal tools as well as all-new feature and product releases.

GroupTrail

Social collaboration done right

FMYI [For MY Innovation] is a B Corporation founded in 2004 as the pioneer in social collaboration software. FMYI is a proven and tested platform hosting over two million workspaces. I was tasked to help design the mobile version of Grouptrail, a collaboration platform they were developing in-house. I eventually worked on Interact v8, a visual database SaaS that needed a fresh design perspective.

I would eventually be brought back to design and develop the marketing website, which ended up being a Jekyll-powered site hosted on CloudCannon.

Measureful

From data to decisions

Your analytics and data tell a story so why isn't it presented like a story? Measureful wanted to revolutionize the analytics reading experience by creating beautiful, automated marketing reports so you can focus on making things that matter.

I was responsible for designing the experience from the ground up. That meant not only the main product design but also everything around and behind that which included the marketing homepage, layout builders, settings pages and every part of the site.

Perfect Pop

Say bye bye to burned kernels

In 2013, Pop Secret launched an app that solved the problem that plagued, at the time, 400 Twitter users per week: burned popcorn. Working with Uncorked Studios (who created the first version of the app) and Deutsch LA, I was tasked to lead the animation and overall UX of the 2nd iteration of the app.

To complete the experience, we spent time at a sound studio listening to popcorn pops and microwave beeps and married those sounds with an energetic animation that really conveyed the magic of popping popcorn.

Jordan Brand

Introducing a storied legacy to a legendary brand

The University of Michigan was launching their Jordan Brand sponsorship and were looking for ways to make this announcement. Working with the fine folks at Owen Jones, I created visual directions for both the desktop and mobile experience leveraging both the Jordan Brand but also the classic Michigan blue and gold.

Paraguide

Creating a logo for a brand new startup

Paraguide was a brand new, stealth startup that needed a logo. The mark is a parachute and the colors were inspired by sunsets and blue skies. The Paraguide team was a group of great people and I really liked how this logo turned out.
